Christmas Book Gift Ideas – Marketing and Sales
Today I continue again the list of great Christmas book ideas, focusing on marketing and sales books. For those of you just found this page now, the category of books I plan to share this week include:
- Software Development (language independent)
- Business
- Marketing and Sales
- Technology
- Investing
- Personal Success
- General (a catch all for remaining books that I learned from)
For many business owners, especially software based, this is an area that is often too neglected. Marketing and sales are important for your business, you just can’t ignore them.
And don’t forget to come back tomorrow to see my list of technology books for Christmas ideas. You can also subscribe to my RSS feed so that you don’t forget. If you don’t know what an RSS feed is, don’t worry you can also subscribe to receive the articles by email here.

Is The Dip really a marketing book? I loved reading it, but from what I remember it would probably be better placed in personal success.
Also, how about “Positioning” by Reis and Trout – I definitely think that’s worth a mention.
Great list in general though (on all the pages). I’ve probably read about 30%, got 10% on my shelf waiting to be read (it’s so much easier to buy them than read them…), and I’m sure I’ll put some of the others on my list.

Hi Martin,
You’re probably right about The Dip.
As for Positioning, I’ve never read it. Looks like another book I have to buy and read 🙂 Thanks for the tip.
You’re also very right about reading versus buying. Sometimes it takes me a while to finally get to a book. But as a general rule I try to force myself to read one every week or so. I’ve definitely noticed a positive impact since I’ve started doing this several years ago. Well worth the time.
